Birds

The area in the immediate vicinity of Farewell Harbour Lodge provides nesting habitat and is a migration stop and resting area for a variety of pelagic and shore birds including red-necked phalaropes, marbled murrelets, bald eagles, great blue herons, auklets, petrels, shearwaters, albatross, alcids, cormorants, waterfowl, shorebirds and oystercatchers. It is truly a bird lovers paradise.
